:: Hogan Releases New Selection Tool as EEOC Examines the State of Employment Testing

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) addressed public concern on employment testing on May 16. Of particular interest is the discussion surrounding increased employment testing as employers seek lawful and efficient ways to screen large numbers of job applicants. Most employers are stuck in the "murky middle", where the employer wants to conduct fair selection but lacks the resources for state of the art validation of selection procedures. :: Hogan Chief Research Scientist Featured as Keynote Speaker in New Zealand

Hogan Assessment Systems' Chief Research Scientist, Paul Barrett, presented the keynote address at the 8th Annual New Zealand Work Research Conference on May 26th. Barrett discussed the misunderstandings of correlations, the reality of predictive inaccuracy, and theory-based predictive accuracy as the criterion for substantive research. Additionally, Paul Barrett will present at the upcoming New Zealand Psychological Society Annual Conference on August 23 - 26, 2007. :: Certification Workshop To Be Held August 28-29 in Atlanta, GA

A workshop for participants to learn to administer, interpret and implement three assessments developed by Hogan Assessment Systems is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28 and 29, at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The certification workshop will provide a comprehensive tutorial on the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI); Hogan Development Survey (HDS); and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI).

The workshop is approved for 13 recertification credit hours through the Human Resource Certification Institute and for 8 American Psychological Association continuing education credits. The next workshop of this type is scheduled for December 4th and 5th in the same location.
