Kaizen Psychometrics

At Hogan, we practice kaizen psychometrics. This means we continually work on our assessments to keep them up-to-date and gradually improve = quality. The process takes time, but it results in a stronger, more modern assessment. This effort is worth it: stronger assessments help people make better talent decisions, so the benefits of a strong assessment carry forward every time it’s used.

Assessment Updates

We are currently updating three assessments: (1) the Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), our measure of workplace values and interests; (2) the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI), our measure of day-to-day personality; and (3) the Verbal Reasoning scale of the Hogan Cognitive Reasoning Inventory (HCRI). We are finishing data collection for the new MVPI’s global norm and item tests for the updated HPI. We are also writing and testing additional items for the HCRI Verbal Reasoning scale.
