Millennials are the most educated and technologically advanced generation to ever enter the workforce and more will have a college degree than any other generation. By almost any measure, this generation is set up to succeed.

However, according to numbers from the U.S. Department of Labor, unemployment among Millennials was nearly double the national unemployment rate in January 2013, having risen faster than any other demographic. It suggests that this demographic lacks some skill necessary to obtain employment.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) – the ability to identify, process, and manage one’s own and others’ emotions – is an essential part of building and maintaining positive, productive relationships, and may be the key to unlocking this generation’s potential.
